A 64-year-old man was arrested after being stabbed by his stepdaughter when police discovered marijuana in the residence on Wednesday at around 11 p.m.
The Michigan State Police responded to an incident of domestic violence after receiving reports that a 20-year-old woman had stabbed her stepfather in Masonville Township. Police report that during the domestic violence investigation they discovered the knife used in the stabbing and an illegal marijuana growing operation.
The 64-year-old suspect was taken to OSF St. Francis Hospital to be treated for his wound. He was then taken to the Delta County Jail, pending arraignment.
Police believe that the 20-year-old woman was acting in self defense.
