The beautiful weather set the stage for the Marina Festival at the Escanaba Yacht Club on Saturday.
The marina provided the perfect backdrop for the music festival, which started as an open mic setting. Seven bands performed later on in the evening. The festival was not just music though--there was also a kayak race, bean bag tournament and rain gutter regatta. Guests also enjoyed food vendors and craft tables.
"It is just a good way to get down to the marina" said Larry Gravatt, harbor master. "Most of the public does not get down to the marina but it is a good way to bring all the Escanaba residents down here to enjoy this place, because it is a nice place."
Hundreds of people were expected to come and go throughout the day. The location of the festival was perfect for people enjoying the day out on the water and fishing with friends and family.
