The end of summer means county fair season, and on Thursday evening, people headed over to the Marinette County fairgrounds in Wausaukee. The fair is in full swing and will continue throughout the rest of the week and weekend.
On Thursday, a coronation for the 4-H royalty was held at 5:30 p.m., as well as continuous judging of baked goods, crafts, clothing, fresh produce and more.
â??I first was in the fair as a 4-H-er, ever since eight or nine years old,â?? said fairgoer, Erika Lesperance. â??I entered foods all my years of 4-H, I entered in clothing, I entered in photography.â??
A tractor pull and a concert kicked off Thursday evening, and cheese curds and cotton candy were in plentiful supply. To see a complete list of times of events, visit the Marinette County Fair website .
