Plans for the future of Founders Landing are being discussed Wednesday at City Hall in Marquette.
The city commission is holding a work session to update the public on the progress for plans to build a boathouse for the Upper Peninsula Community Rowing Club at Founders Landing.
The project is part of the parks and recreation community master plan for waterfront development. City officials say the work session is a way to keep the public informed about the boathouse project.
"The work session is a chance for some of these people also to interact with the commission, to give then opinions for the commission to receive feedback from community members on how they feel about it, and maybe help them to make future decisions," said Marquette Police Chief Mike Angeli.
The work session will be held at 4 p.m. at city hall on Wednesday. The boathouse project has been in the works for several years and officials say there is no clear timetable for its completion.
