Mon, 12 Aug 2013 04:29:43 GMT — The Marquette County Fair wrapped up on Sunday. Officials report the fair was another huge success with attendance rivaling last year's record numbers near 13,000 people. There were 51 total vendors selling food and souvenirs, but the animals at the fair have been drawing many people. The 2013 fair boasts the largest stock auction yet with the most people and the most money raised for the 4-H kids. Elsewhere, ponies and horses are seen around the fairgrounds and some horseback riders had some fun playing games. "My horse and me love to play all the games here and have lots of fun and all that," said 11-year-old horseback rider Karley Prater from Rock. The next Marquette County Fair will take place from August 7 to 10, 2014.
