The Marquette County Fair in Sands Township came to a close Sunday. Organizers are calling this year's fair a great success due to the breaking of many records. The all-time record for attendance was shattered after only two days at the fair and the livestock auction raised the most money ever as well. For the people attending the fair, it was about having fun and introducing little ones to a new experience.
"We came out to the fair today to just check out all of the rides and all the great food and to show Lilly her first farm animals," said Connor Gentz.
All of the wonderful entertainment, attractions, and food were more than enough to draw the large crowd. Organizers are more than happy with the support and would hope this trend continues in future years.
