The Marquette County Fair officially opened up Thursday at noon.
It was a slow start for the first day of the fair. Those who made it out early made sure to hit the rides, and grab some food before the crowds set in.
This year, there's 24 rides provided by a new carnival from Spectrum Entertainment out of Ironwood. People have their choices of carnival food from 20 different vendors.
"I kind of want to go on the Zipper. I'm still thinking on if I want to go on the Zipper," says fair goer Arrienana Miller. "I want to go on the, I can't remember what it's called, High Roller I think cause it looks like you go upside down in a circle and it looks really fun."
Thursday night they'll have motorcross events, and live music.
Fair officials expect around 2,500 people to visit Thursday.
