The Marquette County Sheriff's Office has a new set of wheels patrolling the streets.
They were one of three law enforcement agencies in the country to receive a 2014 Dodge Charger All Wheel Drive Pursuit Patrol vehicle from Chrysler.
Chrysler notified the Sheriff's Office back in December, that they wanted to provide them with a fully outfitted Charger for a 12-24 month test and evaluation.
The Sheriff's Office received the car in April through Fox Negaunee.
"This will be a first for our department having an all wheel drive vehicle, and first having a Dodge. So we're kind of excited to try it out and test and evaluate it for them," said Captain David Lemire.
The Sheriff's Office paid $1.00 for the car, and $1.00 for the installed equipment.
Total cost for the Sheriff's Office is less than $2,000.
