Thu, 22 Aug 2013 23:55:00 GMT — The Marquette Downtown Development Authority Board of Directors held a special meeting on Thursday. The DDA is seeking someone to take over as the Marketing and Events Coordinator. The position involves playing a leading role in city-wide events throughout the year. Currently, other staff members are filling in for the vacant position, which board members say is becoming increasingly challenging. "Not only do we manage the physical facilities of the downtown and the parking, but we also manage all the events downtown, and with one-and-a-half people, that's very difficult to do, particularly when we also manage the farmers market," said DDA Executive Director Mona Lang. Information about how to apply will be on the Marquette DDA's website in about a week.
