The City of Marquette announced plans to extend the winter parking ban Thursday.
According to the Marquette City Police Department, the ban is being extended to April 30. The ban, which prevents residents from parking on city streets or in city parking lots between 1 and 6 a.m., was set to end on April 1.
"We have extended the ban to provide proper snow removal from city streets during this extended period of winter weather," said Captain Blake Rieboldt. "City staff will continue to monitor weather and roadway conditions during this time period and evaluate the extended ban time period."
