The City of Marquette is looking to fill some seats that could have big impact on what the community will become.
Applications are being accepted to fill open seats in the Planning Commission. You've got to be a resident of the City of Marquette to be eligible.
Commissioners are volunteers who oversee the developments coming into town, city's capital outlay budget, and city planning and zoning issues. They say applicants don't have to have experience, just a good head on their shoulders.
"Doesn't take a background in planning or zoning; it takes someone with time to share on issues, use good reason," said Marquette Mayor Jon Kivela.
To apply, stop into City Hall or visit the city's website for an application .
