The 12th annual Blueberry Fest is coming up this Friday in downtown Marquette with sidewalk sales, food vendors, artists and, of course, blueberries from local farmers.
Live music starts at 11 a.m. and runs through the end of the festival at 7 p.m. The Marquette Downtown Development Authority says the festival has something for everyone.
"The festival keeps getting bigger every year and we truly have something for everyone," said Lizzie Corser of the Marquette DDA. "Foodies can enjoy a taste of downtown. It's a great opportunity for locals and visitors alike to explore downtown Marquette, celebrate the area's blueberry harvest and truly get a feel for everything that Marquette has to offer."
Parts of Washington and Front Streets will be closed during the festival. Limited edition Blueberry Festival posters will be available at the information booth for $10, and the festival runs from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. this Friday.
