Hundreds of people came out to Park Cemetery in Marquette on Tuesday night to walk through Marquette History. The Marquette Regional History Center hosted a walking tour of the cemetery. The theme of the tour was heroes and villains. From police officers and soldiers to criminals and prisoners, tour guides had stories about some of the best and worst people in the history of Marquette.
"We've done in the past some movers and shakers, the important people that people would know about like Peter White and Amos Harlow and the founders of the city," Research Librarian at the Longyear Research Library Rosemary Michelin said. "This time we wanted to do a little bit more colorful side of some of the characters that lived in Marquette."
The history center asked for a $5 donation to attend the tour. The tour ran from 6:30 until about 8. This was the 9th annual Cemetery Walking Tour.
