      Marquette Regional History Center showcasing Longyear Library

      The Marquette Regional History Center is treating Upper Michigan history fans to a treasure trove of information tomorrow at their Longyear Library. The event is called "Longyear Library 101".

      Library staff will be sharing and showcasing the library's extensive historical records for Marquette and other areas.They claim there is history in this library that cannot be found elsewhere.

      "This is a unique library that specializes in having lots of letters, diaries, historic photographs, maps, all sorts of wonderful books, accounts of what life was like years ago and it's a really wonderful place to come and have your history mysteries solved" said head librarian Rosemary Michelin.

      The event will take place Wednesday at the history center from 6:30 P.M. to 8 P.M.
