The search for a new superintendent for the Marquette schools is underway.
The previous superintendent, Deborah Veiht, left after receiving an offer with the Marquette Alger Regional Educational Service. Marquette school board members would not release names, but say there are currently three administrators being considered for the position.
"There's going to be a good fit whatever candidate we choose so it's not really going to be a formal interview process, it's more of the board looking at what's in our best interest," said MAPS Board President Rich Rossway.
The board believes by their next meeting on June 10 they'll have one of the administrators moved into the superintendent's position.
