Marquette Sentinels hockey team headed to New York

The Marquette Sentinels girls hockey team is on their way to compete in New York.

The team of girls, coaches and parents left at 7 a.m. Tuesday morning from Lake View Arena in Marquette headed to Amherst, NY.

The Sentinels will face Potsdam, NY tomorrow at noon in the first round of the National U-16 AA Tournament.

Before their departure, the coach expressed great confidence in his team.

"I feel good. We're all pretty excited and the girls have been working hard. I think we've got a pretty good chance of winning nationals" says coach Adam Deitrich.

The Sentinels will go up against the Princeton team from New Jersey on Thursday, followed by Charles River, Massachusetts on Friday.
