      Marquette Skating Rules

The Marquette City Police want to remind skateboarders of the rules when it comes to skateboarding within the city.

Skateboarders, long boarders, and in-line skaters can only use the sidewalks in the business district on Monday to Saturday from six in the evening to 10 p.m. and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m on Sundays.

You're not allowed to skate on the streets and you're required to yield to pedestrians.

Anyone skating is asked to stay off the curbs and railings, and use the Skate Park on Fair Avenue to practice any tricks.

If you're caught in violation you'll be given a citation and have your board taken away.

Your first violation is 50-dollars, the second go around is 75-dollars, and any there after will be a 100-dollar fine.
