The Noquemanon Trail Network has a new title to add to entice riders to come to the Marquette area. The International Mountain Biking Association has named the South Trailhead a Bronze Level Ride Center. The designation is only given to trails that offer something for every rider. There are only 16 other bronze level destinations in the country.
"We've got this designation and what it really does for the trials is, it helps support the businesses," said NTN Board Member Mike Burnet. "More people are going to travel here, they're going to buy more gas, they're going to buy more food, they're going to stay in the hotels, in turn, those businesses being supported, we hope that the businesses support the trails."
There are about 150 miles of trails in Marquette county. NTN trails are maintained through volunteer efforts and fundraisers throughout the year.
