Mon, 01 Jul 2013 04:15:01 GMT — Marty's Goldenaires gave quite a performance in Munising Sunday. The drum and bugle corps from Bessemer played for hundreds outside at Bayshore Park. The Hiawatha Telephone Company and Jamadots.com invited the group to perform to kick off Fourth of July festivities. They played inside several bars in the city before finishing at the park. They played classic hits like "In the Mood" and more modern songs like "Zoot Suit Riot." "I thought they did great. I would love to be in there with them," said spectator Rochelle Cotey. "Th band drew you right in and asked you to help them perform. That was a great part of the show," said spectator Shelly Cox. Marty's Goldenaires Drum and Bugle Corps is composed of all male volunteer musicians, aged 16 to 87, each of them a member or son of a member of American Legion Post 27 in Bessemer.
