      McDowell campaigns in Marquette

The election is now just three days away, and candidates up and down the ticket are getting in some last minute campaigning.

Democrat Gary McDowell, a candidate for the 1st US District House of Representatives, made a stop at his party's headquarters Saturday.

McDowell told supporters the election will be decided by which party has the best ground game to turn out voters.

"I've been in this over a year, and it's all coming together for us, we feel, at this time. The energy is here, the momentum is with us. And regardless of who you're going to vote for or what party you belong to or candidate, get out and vote. That's what our democracy is all about," said 1st Congressional candidate Gary McDowell.

Following Marquette, McDowell made a stop in Munising before heading to the Soo.

Saturday, McDowell's Republican challenger, Congressman Dan Benishek, campaigned in Manistee.
