The Mega Millions Jackpot is up to about $400 million and is scheduled for another drawing Tuesday night. This is the sixth highest winnings in the history of the mega millions.
A winner would have the option of taking a lump sum of $224 million. If there is no winner, the winnings will be combined into Fridayâ??s drawing and approach the $500 million mark.
Some people in the copper country gave their opinions on what they would do with the money. Many said they wouldn't know what to do with that much money, while others said they would save it up or help their family.
â??Honestly, I'd probably save up a lot of it,â?? said Houghton resident, Brent VanAcker. â??I wouldn't have to worry about paying my school loans back; that'd be taken care of. I'd continue working, and Iâ??d just have something to sit on for the future. Maybe buy a car, that'd be my big expense.â??
Many store workers that sell lottery tickets say they have been seeing more people coming in to buy tickets than usual.
