It was a very Trenary Christmas Saturday at the Community Building in Trenary.
Hosted by the United Methodist Church, the celebration included food, a re-sale, a visit from Santa, and a little something special.
"We wanted to do an old fashioned Christmas party, and so we included peanuts, of all things! For my grandmother from Finland, it was the first time she had ever eaten peanuts," said Lorraine Berg, an organizer of the celebration.
This was the first year the group has held an event like this. Ninety percent of the proceeds went to the United Methodist Church; the other ten percent went back to the community.
