      Meth bust In Ironwood

      The names have been released in a recent methamphetamine bust in Ironwood.

      Gogebic County authorities say Richard J. Hill, 37, and Rebecca J. Suzik, 37, both from Ironwood, face two felony drug charges. They are delivery or manufacturing and possession of methamphetamine. It could land the pair in prison for 20 years.

      The two were arrested this week after a lengthy police investigation by the Gogebic-Iron Area Narcotics Team (GIANT).

      It led police to 223 Kennedy Street where they discovered $75,000 worth of methamphetamine.

      Along with two decades in prison, Hill and Suzik also could face $25,000 in fines. Both are in the county jail. Bond for Hill is set at $750,000. Suzik's bond is $500,000.

      The case is still being investigated, and additional charges and arrests are probable.

      GIANT is the local task force comprised of the Ironwood Public Safety Department, Hurley Police Department, Gogebic County Sheriff and the Iron County Sheriff's Department. Also helping out, the Michigan State Police Canine Unit.
