A meth dump site was reported to the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team (UPSET) Wednesday afternoon by the Marquette County Sheriff's Department.
The dump was discovered by a North Star Academy teacher who was out on a trail with 7th and 8th grade students. The group came upon a pile of burning debris on the trail.
The debris turned out to be methamphetamine lab components which were cleaned up by UPSET Certified Meth Responders and place in approved containers for disposal.
No suspects in this case have been identified.
