      Meth lab components found at hotel in Chocolay Township

      Chocolay Township and Marquette police responded to a report of drug activity at a Chocolay Township hotel early Thursday morning.

      According to the Chocolay Township Police Department, officers discovered an unresponsive man at the scene at 2:30 a.m. He was taken to Marquette General Hospital and a search warrant was obtained by police.

      A search was conducted of the hotel room, where police report that meth manufacturing components were discovered.

      No word on charges involved in this case. The Chocolay Township Police Department was assisted by the Marquette City Police Department and the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.
