Sun, 23 Jun 2013 20:34:47 GMT — Sunday was Log Cabin Day in Michigan, and many celebrated in Michigamme. The Michigamme Historical Museum showcased the Dompierre House, a log cabin museum officials restored in the early 2000s. The house was built in the late 1800s and is a part of Michigamme history. The museum has celebrated every year since 2005 when they joined the Log Cabin Society of Michigan. The event also had food, live music, and an antique car show. "It's a great, great day and the people do a lot of work putting this thing on. It's really nice, a lot of fun," said Bob Saxwold of Ishpeming. Log Cabin Day is held on the last Sunday of every June in Michigan.
