The deadline to purchase a brick paver for Michigan Tech's Alumni Way project is coming up this weekend. Any community member can have a brick with their name or organization on it to be placed in a pathway on tech's campus.
The Alumni Way project will include a pathway from the west end of campus to the east with a gateway and commemorative benches and markers.
The bricks will be placed in a circle commons area that will also have a husky dog statue and benches. Small bricks are $200 and large bricks are $500. So far, over 375 bricks have been sold.
Bricks are available for purchase not just by alumni, but anyone in the community.
â??It's an initiative that's giving people a chance to be a part of the overall Alumni Way project, and they're just great legacy items, something that people, any time they come to visit campus, can come and take a look at,â?? said Director of Annual Giving at Michigan Tech, Paula Nutini.
The deadline to order a brick is Saturday, May 31. For more information on purchasing a paver, click here.
