The Midnight Run that took off from Marquette on Friday night began to conclude on Saturday at around 10:40 a.m. when the first musher crossed the finish line.
Jacob Golton of L'Amable, Ontario finished the race in Mattson Lower Harbor on Saturday in first place, followed closely by Kris Sampson of South River, Ontario. You can view the Midnight Run standings here .
UP200 and Midnight Run officials are encouraging people to come down to cheer on the mushers as they finish the races that started in Marquette. There was also a special Kiwanis Kiddie Mutt Race at the Marquette Commons at 11 a.m. for sled dog fans that want to test their own dog's ability.
The UP200 mushers are expected to begin finishing early afternoon on Sunday.
