The former office buildings for Cliffs Mining Operations in Ishpeming were torn down Wednesday afternoon.
The buildings housed mining administrations for more than 100 years. The property was purchased by Lundin Mining who used the buildings from 2008 to 2012 before moving their headquarters to the Humboldt Mill.
Lundin has donated the land back to the City of Ishpeming. City officials don't yet have definite plans for the property, though several ideas have been proposed, including a park.
