Thousands of people gathered in Calumet Saturday and Sunday to pay their respects at a traveling version of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.
The wall opened on Thursday to the public and had an opening ceremony and candlelight vigil earlier this week.
Although the atmosphere is a somber one, organizers say many visitors come away very impressed with the memorial and its 58,286 names.
"Its been a very quiet mood, you know everybody that you talk to says hey its sad but its nice and we weren't hoping for sad people but I guess thats the way it should be."said Don Bausano with the Moving Wall Committee.
The wall will be open until Noon on Monday and will then be moving on to Minnesota.
