Monday was the last day to visit the the Republic Historical Museum without making an appointment. The museum houses displays dedicated to the history of the Republic area. This year's display centered around early ethnic groups who settled in the area.
"Well I think they'd like to know more about the area, and many people come from out of town who have ancestors here," President of the Republic Area Historical Society LaVerne Antilla said. "This display they can see maybe some of their ancestors names here and when they came."
You can still visit the museum if you call a member of the Republic Area Historical Society and set up an appointment. The Pascoe House Museum will be open again next year on weekends from 1PM until 3PM between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
