      Murder suspect caught

      An Ironwood Township man is in the Ontonagon County jail on a charge of First Degree Murder. Michigan State Police from the Wakefield Post assisted the U.S. Marshalls Service on Friday with capturing the wanted fugitive.

      State Police were acting on a warrant issued by the City of Baton Rouge, Louisiana to take the Ironwood Township native into custody.

      Troopers, along with the U.S. Marshalls, went to the suspect's Ironwood Township home on Friday and located him.

      He's a 20 year old male. No name has been released. He was taken into custody without incident. The suspect is currently in the Ontonagon County Jail pending extradition.

      Troopers were assisted by Ironwood Public Safety and the Ontonagon County Sheriff's Department.
