      Musical benefits local church

One hundred percent of the proceeds raised from a musical in Kingsford will go toward the Saint Mary Queen of Peace Church.

You can usually only find this music now on oldies stations.

â??I think it was a simpler time and it's a lot of nostalgia,â?? Father Mike Woempner says. â??People love nostalgia. It brings them back to their youth.â??

The cast isn't only members of the Saint Mary Queen of Peace Church either. The goal, Father Mike says, is to bring the community together. There are many different ages and churches represented in this performance.

â??It brings a lot of people together and that's one of the number one things we do,â?? Woempner says.

Oldies tunes are great, but that's not all this play has to offer.

â??Some of the acts are quite hilarious,â?? said John Richtag, â??and I think a lot of people are looking for a good laugh.â??

â??We have a terrific cast,â?? Woempner says. â??Extremely talented people in the show.â??

If you want to see the actual performance, it'll be on February 10, 11 and 12 at 7 p.m. at Kingsford High School.
