The names of the drivers involved in Monday's fatal crash on US-2 & 41 in Delta County have been released.
The Delta County Sheriff's Office has stated that investigation determined that an east bound pickup truck driven by 83-year-old Edward Joseph Paquin of Spaulding, MI crossed the center line. His vehicle collided with a motor home driven by 69-year-old Arnold Louden Parson of Daggett, MI. Reports say that the motor home was towing a vehicle which may have been hit by 59-year-old Anthony Philemon VanDamme of Rock, MI.
Officials state that Edward Paquin was pronounced dead at the scene. Arnold Parsons, along with his wife Shirlene Diane Parsons, who was in his vehicle at time of the accident, were taken to St. Francis hospital by Rampart EMS. Sources say their injuries are believed to be minor. Anthony VanDamme was not injured in the crash.
The crash caused traffic to be closed on US-2 & 41 between I Road and Old State Road for approximately four hours.
