UPDATE: The names of those involved in a fatal car-pedestrian accident in Wakefield Township were released Thursday night by the Gogebic County Sheriff's Department.
Their investigation found Susanne Sutton, 49, of Ironwood stepped into the traffic lane as the car went past her. That vehicle was driven by Lindsey Sullivan, 18, of Bessemer. Sutton was killed in the accident.
Authorities say alcohol was not a factor for Sullivan, who was the driver of the vehicle. However they report, alcohol is believed to be a factor concerning Sutton's actions and her stepping into traffic.
