It??s the day that has many people across the country threading the needle. Saturday was the 23rd annual National Quilting Day.
It was only the second time the Marquette Arts and Culture Center and the Marquette County Quilters hosted National Quilting Day at the Peter White Public Library. Stations were set up for quilters of all ages and skill levels to improve on their sewing techniques.
"In the past we have done quilting in the mall and we've enjoyed having people stop by and we've been working on projects and we encourage them to sit down and sew," said Judy Parlato of the Marquette County Quilters.
The Marquette County Quilters would like to see more people become involved in quilting regardless of your abilities.
National Quilting Day is held every year on the third Saturday in March.
