Negaunee Male Chorus to perform Christmas concert

Are you looking for some holiday cheer to get in the spirit of the season?

Well, the Negaunee Male Chorus's annual Christmas concert is coming up soon.

Since September every Thursday night the Negaunee Male Chorus has been preparing for their Annual Christmas Concert.

"It's just fun. I just enjoy it. It's kind of the culmination of many weeks worth of hard work and effort. It's nice to put it out there and hopefully people enjoy it," said Martin Clark, President of the Negaunee Male Chorus.

This year they are presenting A Star Over Bethlehem.

The thirty-five member chorus will be singing more than a dozen songs.

"Everything from serious to silly. So, there's a good variety in music and some silliness in the chorus itself," said Gary Penhale.

During the last 83 years this chorus has been lighting up people's lives with their concerts.

However, for those in the group it's about the brotherhood.

"The fun is at the practice. You get to hang out with a bunch of pretty cool guys for a long time. It's not about socioeconomic anything. It's about a bunch of guys getting together and having a nice time," Clark said.

The concert is happening Saturday December 7th at the Negaunee High School Auditorium at 7 pm

      Tickets are $10.

All funds raised will go towards new uniforms.
