A Negaunee man has been bound over to Circuit Court on Criminal Sexual Conduct charges.
62-year-old William Arbelius's preliminary examination was held in District Court in Ishpeming Tuesday.
Arbelius, who's a former Republic Police Officer, was arrested on March 7th.
He faces three charges of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Second Degree.
The charges stem from an alleged incident in Ishpeming Township involving a 29 year old mentally disabled woman.
The incident allegedly occurred on a Marq-Tran bus where Arbelius was working at a driver.
"Having somebody out on a bus on a road that's stopped, and detaining them in there with no ability to drive or get out or seek help or do anything else other than to deal with the contact of, that's been alleged in this case, I think clearly that's an abuse of authority," said Judge Roger Kangas, Marquette County District Court.
A rbelius remains jailed on a $30,000 cash bond.
If found guilty, he could receive up to 15 years on each of the three charges.
