The company provides a hosted internet and cloud-based communication service. Currently, Michigan Broadband Services employs 32 people. They hope to employ a total of six people in the Escanaba office. The company supports community events and local businesses.
David Hoover, President and GM of Michigan Broadband Services says, "We've made a huge investment in Escanaba with hiring people, putting this building up, donations. Buying from local businesses is probably one of the biggest things. All of this came from local businesses."
Although they plan to expand to the residential market, they currently only provide service to businesses.
