A local man is bringing his clothing brand to the U.P.
Tucker Brandt grew up in Negaunee and now he makes "Local" hats, shirts, and sweatshirts.
A picture of the U.P. sits inside the second and third letter of the word local.
The "Local" brand has only been around for a month but Brandt says his clothing represents where he came from.
"It's just a sense of pride and a sense of belonging. Whether it be helping your neighbor out if a ditch or you know, the U.P.'s always had that tight-knit thing," said Brandt.
Brandt says his clothing is already in Farmer Q's Market in Marquette but his goal is to keep expanding and also keep it local.
What makes the brand unique is that it has the ability to spread nationwide. Brandt says "Local" encompasses every city or town in the U.S.
The brand look any way you want it. Brandt says he can also customize other products and he is in the process of working with other companies to intertwine the Local brand with other brands.
