New Drive Thru Opens up in Town

A local barbeque food truck is making the move to a permanent location. Rollin' Smoke Barbeque opened a new drive thru on Wright Street in Marquette on Monday. The restaurant used to operate out of a food truck and traveled the Upper Peninsula to serve food at weekend events. Rollin' Smoke's menu includes classic barbeque favorites like pulled pork sandwiches, brisket and boiled peanuts. The owner hopes the move will be good for business.

"Three months out of the year we can operate the trailer only on weekends," Pit Master Tom Curry said. "People know who we are so we're going to give them the opportunity where they can have it year round."

The drive thru will be open on weekdays from 11 AM until 6 PM. Rollin' Smoke will still take the food truck to events on the weekends.
