A new farmers market has popped up in the U.P. this year. The new market will take Place at the KI Sawyer Community Center in Sawyer every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This is the second week the market has been held at the community center. As of right now the market is a little small, but is expected to grow very soon.
"In a few weeks we're going to be having farmers and local gardeners bringing their food. A lot of organic food we're going to have," said Paula McGraw, market organizer.
Organizers say the market is a good way to bring the Sawyer community together.
There is no charge to have a booth at the market. The market will take place every week, rain or shine.
