A new restaurant in Marquette is promising to offer residents a different taste of the world.
It's called The Rubaiyat and it'll specialize in Middle Eastern and Indo-European food. It'll feature dishes like baltic curry chicken.
The chefs gave a preview of their food recently at an Upper Peninsula Children's Museum fund-raiser, and based on public opinion, they have a lot of faith starting a new business in this tough economy.
"There's all kinds of different flavors and very interesting combination of foods," says chef Aza Wolfcale of The Rubaiyat. "We like to put foods together and spices together from all around the world and have an eclectic taste."
The Rubaiyat will be located between the Upper Peninsula Children's Museum and the Marquette Food Co-Op.
They expect to open it in mid to late March.
