      NMU now officially smoke free

The Northern Michigan University campus is officially smoke free as of Friday.

All forms of tobacco, which includes electronic cigarettes, are not to be used on campus. This policy effects the entire campus, except for the NMU golf course. Also, you can smoke on campus if you are in your car with all of the windows up and no minors are in your car.

"I'm pretty glad this is a smoke-free campus, because I don't smoke myself," says NMU student Lucca Perretti. "Regarding sports, I can't have any toxins in my body, I guess; pretty stoked about it being smoke free."

While some students are already embracing the new policy, it may take others a little longer to catch on.
