An eco-friendly truck is sitting on the ice in Escanaba, but when will it break through? This is the concept behind the fourth annual Off Road Icebreaker.
For $2 you can guess the date and time of when you think the truck will break through the ice. The winner receives half the purse, $500 in Firestone Tires, and 2 passes to the Bark River International Raceway.
Each year the eventâ??s popularity seems to grow.
â??Itâ??s a pretty big social event for the Delta County area," said Bark River's King Lion Toby Kuivinen. "Last year was absolutely comical down here. To watch the thing floating around on an iceberg and all the people gathered around to watch this event happen.â??
Proceeds help the Bark River Lions Club support local charities and organizations.
Tickets can be purchased at Adams Grocery, Auto Value, Delta County Chamber of Commerce, J.C.'s Gas and Welding, Joeâ??s Marathon, Lakeshore Chiropractic, Lantagneâ??s Auto Body, Mr. TiRE (all four locations), Northern Plumbing and Heating, Rosyâ??s Diner, Splash of Color and any Bark River Lionâ??s Club Member.
