Students at the Marquette Alternative High School had a visit from Olympian Nick Baumgartner Monday. Baumgartner spoke to the kids about his journey through the X-games and the Olympics. He stressed how important it is to find something you enjoy doing in life and making that your passion. Baumgartner said these students are at a crucial age.
"They're at the beginning anything is possible and when they're 32, like I am now, they could be doing anything that they want to do as long as they put in the work now," said Baumgartner. "If I can just push them to that edge and say hey you guys, find what you're passionate about, go out and do something and hopefully my story will show them that anything is possible."
Baumgartner said he's also looking forward to this years X-Games in Austin, Texas. He'll be competing in truck racing events for those games.
