A U.S. Olympic champion will be at Northern Michigan University on Thursday night.Short track speedskater Jordan Malone will present, "Testing Mettle, Earning Medals" at Jamrich Hall.Malone is a silver medalist, skating as a member of the men's 5,000-meter relay team at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. He took bronze in the same event in Vancouver in 2010.
He trained at the USOEC at NMU between 2010 and 2012, majoring in electrical engineering. Recently, Malone trained in Salt Lake City prior to the Olympic Games. He also owns Full Composite Racing, a manufacturer of carbon fiber racing equipment.
Jordan Malone's presentation will begin at 7:30 p.m., Thursday April 10, in room 104 Jamirch Hall. This is free for NMU students with ID, and just $2 for the general public.
