      One person killed in Iron Mountain fire

      UPDATE: Iron Mountain Police have released the identity of the person killed in a house fire on November 14, 2013.The victim has been identified as 73-year-old Rita Nocerini. The investigation into the fire shows that the blaze began in the bathroom of the home. However, the exact source of the fire cannot be determined.

      Foul play is not suspected.=====One person is dead after a house fire in Iron Mountain that took place early Thursday morning.

      Crews arrived to the scene of the fire at 309 West D. Street at around 1 a.m. Thursday morning. When firefighters arrived they observed fire coming out of a window on the ground floor.

      According to officials, the victim was discovered in a room of the house where the fire appears to have originated. Fire damage was mostly contained to one room, with the rest of the house suffering smoke damage.

      Officials are still investigating the cause of the fire. The victim is not being identified at this time, pending notification of family members.
