A failure to yield caused two cars to collide head-on at around noon Tuesday in Chocolay Township, according to police.
The crash happened at the intersection of County Road 480 and US-41. Chocolay Township Police say Chocolay Township resident Lennea Bressette was heading northbound on US-41 towards Marquette and attempted to turn left onto County Road 480.
According to police, Bressette failed to yield and turned directly into the path of Chocolay Township resident Sharon Haynes causing their two vehicles to collide head-on.
Haynes was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Bressette was also injured, but sought her own treatment. Bressette was cited for failure to yield.
