      One suspect arrested in armed robbery case, two still at large

      A teenager from Iron Mountain has been arrested in connection to the armed robbery that occurred earlier this month.

      Seventeen-year-old Jacelin Orian Sims has been arrested in connection to the armed robbery that took place on August 6 in Iron Mountain.

      During the alleged armed robbery, three suspects dressed in black entered the home on West Brown Street and robbed one resident that was home alone. Police say that the three suspects used a knife during the robbery, and that the victim received non life-threatening injuries while attempting to resist.

      Sims has been charged with armed robbery, which is an offense punishable by up to life in prison. Sims is also facing a charge of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and accessory after the fact.

      The Dickinson County Prosecutor's Office reports that Sims is facing charges in an unrelated incident as well. He is facing charges of larceny in a building, breaking and entering a vehicle, and possession of marijuana.

      Sims will be in court on August 21 for a preliminary examination.
